who we support.

finding good has partnered with the UK’s National Literacy Trust.

This means that 100% of your membership fees go to the National Literacy Trust, supporting their efforts to promote literacy.

The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that empowers children, young people, and adults with the literacy skills they need to succeed.

Literacy changes everything. It gives you the tools to get the most out of life, and the power to shape your future. It opens the door to the life you want. But low literacy is inextricably linked to poverty. Over the last 30 years, the National Literacy Trust have continued to work with people who need us the most, supporting schools, families and communities on a local and national level.

Your membership fees will help the Trust to transform the life stories of children living in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities.

Low literacy is endemic in our poorest communities and is holding too many people back from achieving their full potential. Low literacy impacts success at school, job opportunities, physical and mental health, life expectancy and earning potential. Children and young people who have poor literacy skills are more likely to experience unemployment, poverty and poor health as adults.

With the funds you raise, we can change this by:

  • Setting up creative and innovative literacy programs in schools,
  • Distributing free books in communities around the country where as many as 1 in 6 children do not have a book of their own at home, and
  • Training teachers and librarians to entrench literacy into every subject at school and inspire a love of reading.

Start supporting the National Literacy Trust and the wonderful work they do today, by joining us at finding good and becoming a member.
